Nuvin Bazid
Nuvin Bazid is a first-year doctoral student in Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, studying under Professor Sébastien Philippe. Before coming to Wisconsin, she received a B.S. in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her past research focused on passive, nondestructive assay techniques using gamma-ray detectors, and her doctoral research will develop remote sensing technologies to support nuclear nonproliferation initiatives. She is an active member of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management and the American Nuclear Society.
